About the Springs

Nestled in the heart of a truly pristine natural setting, Alba Thermal Springs and Spa boasts an array of natural thermal springs, more than 30 in fact, famous for proven healing properties and perfect for allowing the stress of your daily life to dissipate.

Heated by geothermal activity, these mineral-rich waters emerge from deep within the earth and are guided into the Alba pools. Before reaching the pools the patrons reside in, the water is passed through a sanitation system. The waste water from each of the pools is collected, treated and tested before being re-injected underground, ensuring the longevity and sustainability of the geo-thermal aquifer.

Each pool varies in temperature (from 37 degrees to 43 degrees) and design, some hidden amongst architecturally impressive stone walls, or within cosy private cocoons. Wide expansive pools sit on the edge of the property, with uninterrupted views of stunning sunsets and rolling hills of the Peninsula. Cold plunge pools are scattered throughout, encouraging use to enhance circulation, and revitalise your body and awaken your senses between the warmer pools.

Benefits of the Water

For many centuries, those across the globe of all cultures have used naturally heated water for the proven restorative benefits. The thermal springs at Alba Spa offer numerous health benefits on top of their inherently relaxing nature.

The waters have a high mineral content, including elements like calcium, magnesium, and sulphur, all of which are known to promote healing and alleviate muscle soreness, reduce joint pain and enhance blood circulation. The incredibly calming and quiet atmosphere on top of these concrete benefits guarantees you leave feeling better, and more rejuvenated than ever before.
